The brake gauge tool was designed to give customers an accurate measurement of how much brake lining is left without guess work.
Most state agencies required the customer be notified of how much brake lining is left in order to suggest that the lining should be replaced. The technician must reference to the OEM manufacturer. Specifications to determine if the lining is worn below minimum specifications.
